KEWOTA Celebrates 6 Years of Impact, Sisterhood, and Transformation!

The Kenya Women Teachers Association (KEWOTA) marked its 6th Anniversary in spectacular fashion at the iconic KICC, a venue beautifully draped in gold and purple, symbolizing royalty, strength, and celebration.

From the early morning hours, women teachers from across the nation arrived radiant, energetic, and proud, embodying the spirit of unity and empowerment that KEWOTA has championed since its founding.

In just six years, KEWOTA has grown into a powerful movement advocating for the welfare, growth, and leadership of women teachers across Kenya. From mental wellness programs to financial empowerment initiatives like table banking, KEWOTA continues to redefine what collective strength looks like in the education sector.

The event was nothing short of electric! MC Hamo and his co-MC Serfin Achieng kept the energy sky-high with laughter, music, and engaging moments that had the audience on their feet. The KEWOTA Executive team took the stage, applauding members for their unwavering dedication and the incredible progress made since inception.

A major highlight of the day was the official launch of KEWOTA’s new digital table banking platform in partnership with Safaricom, a groundbreaking innovation designed to make financial empowerment more accessible and secure for members nationwide.

And of course, no celebration is complete without cake and dance! The atmosphere turned jubilant as members joined hands to cut the 6th Anniversary cake, followed by an afternoon of music, joy, and dance, a true reflection of sisterhood and shared success.
